EAST COUNTY FASHION
SHOW BENEFITS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
EL CAJON, CALIF. – The
East County Arc Angels Auxiliary is holding their Annual Fashion Show to benefit
The Arc of San Diego’s programs in East County. The event is on Thursday,
May 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elk’s Lodge #1812 in El Cajon (1400 East
Washington Avenue, El Cajon, CA). The event begins with No Host
Cocktails at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:00 noon and the Fashion Show at
1:00 p.m.
The fashion show is sponsored by Glamour Girlz and
includes members of the Arc Angels Auxiliary as models. Glamour Girlz
features fashions for women including handbags, shoes and other accessories;
they are located on Main Street in El Cajon. More than 300 people are
expected to attend the event this year. The Tickets are $16.00 and include
lunch and a seat at the fashion show.
The Arc of San Diego is the largest, most comprehensive provider of services for
people with disabilities in San Diego County. The organization was founded in
1951 by parents concerned about the lack of services for children with
developmental disabilities and has grown to serve 2,500 children and adults
countywide. The Arc’s East County programs alone provide more than 41,000
service hours per year to program participants.
