THE ARC OF SAN DIEGO’S EAST COUNTY CHAPTER CELEBRATES 50 YEARS

Community Members are encouraged to attend this free event on Monday, March 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

EL CAJON, CALIF.
– The Arc of San Diego’s East County Training Center is holding an Arc Awareness Night on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 1374 East Lexington Avenue in El Cajon to celebrate 50 years of service. This event will be open to the community from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is an opportunity to open their doors to the community and provide information about the vital programs Arc provides to people with disabilities as well as share the history of this center and the impact on the people it serves.

Tours of the center will be provided as well as a formal program, a resource fair, music, and an art exhibit.

The Arc of San Diego is the largest, most comprehensive provider of services to people with disabilities in San Diego County.  Arc was founded in 1951 by parents concerned about the lack of services for children with disabilities and now operates throughout 22 locations countywide.  Arc directly impacts the lives of more than 2,500 people with disabilities throughout San Diego County.

For more information on this upcoming event, please contact Mike Wasyliw at 619-444-9417 or by email at MWasyliw@arc-sd.com.
